Hello. I’m Hugh, and I have a wealth of experience supplying wedding discos in Glasgow, throughout Lanarkshire Stirlingshire and Ayrshire. I offer many wedding services. Supplying the music as you walk up the isle, background music as you eat, and microphones for speeches.  I am a professional Master of Ceremonies and offer my MC services to all couples, and then put my party DJ hat on when it’s time to let your hair down.

Your wedding reception is an important event in your life, and I understand that you want it to be perfect in every way. I entertain at weddings every weekend and I am here to help you. I offer a client meeting so that you can get to know me, and I can find out more about your plans. I am always contactable on either my home or mobile phone numbers. Once agreement has been reached to book my services, you will be given a contract assuring you of my total commitment for your day.

We hired Hugh as our master of ceremonies and also DJ for our wedding reception at Cawder Golf Club on Saturday 10th September 2016. We were absolutely delighted with the result. Hugh was truly professional and went above and beyond our expectations. He even managed to organise golf buggies for our photos to be taken in the grounds as well as taking gifts our guests had brought and keeping them in a safe place. The music played throughout was fantastic and the dance floor was full the entire night . Hugh also organised background music for playing through the meal. Your Wedding Ceremony

I know that you have been planning this day for quite some time, and understandably you will want the ceremony to be perfect and meaningful in every way. I liaise with all my clients through face to face meetings, email and telephone to ensure that everything runs as planned.

The moment your first guest arrives, the scene is set, everything is set to your taste, and the whole event runs smoothly and effortlessly.

I supply an unobtrusive and elegant sound system which is nothing like a disco speaker! I play soft gentle background music “Agreed beforehand” for your guests to enter the room thus setting the scene and creating a beautiful ambience. I offer various types of music at this point of the day from big name classical tracks, string quartet playing well known romantic or classical pieces or even lovey-dovey chart music; you get to select it your way for your day.

I work with your celebrant, venue staff and yourselves to produce music for the processional, arrival of the bride, and the recessional. All the music will be cut and edited so that it starts just at the right part of the track and fades just as the bride reaches her groom. Trust me, it’s a whole lot better than a venue staff member pressing play and stop on a CD player that gives an audible clunk!

If your venue is large, or outdoors, I can supply a lapel radio microphone so that everyone can hear your all-important vows. What’s more, I could even record the vows for you to be played again at night or used in a DVD production of your day!

I attend couples weddings every week and am in the perfect position to assist your guests to their seats and to guide them through the various sections of the day.

Your Drinks Reception

This is the part of the day where you can look forward to having your official wedding photographs taken with your family and friends.  Pictures to treasure. The majority of your guests will take this time to chat and mingle, catching up since they last met.  Allow me to provide ambient music to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, keeping your guests informed, and working with your videographer and photographer to keep to the planned timeline.

I plan well ahead of the day with yourself to arrange what kind of music you would like at this time. It could be classical music, smooth Jazz tunes or a bit of 50s swing music. It’’s your choice! We agree a play list and I deliver it on the day.

I have PA systems of various sizes to suit all halls, and also have battery operated systems for use when the drinks reception is being held outdoors.

You are guaranteed the mood will be relaxed with a smooth transition into the wedding breakfast.

Your Wedding Breakfast

Many hotel venues offer the services of their duty manager to act as M.C. and make some announcements.  My Master Of Ceremonies service is very different, and is designed and tailored to your own requirements and reflect you and your partner’s individual personalities.  You may want to be piped in with your piper, or want me to arrange a Grand Entrance with loud music and everyone on their feet dancing, Everything is possible.

For your wedding breakfast I will lead the proceedings in the manner you wish, which could be relaxed or traditional.  I will make sure all your guests are kept informed and involved in your special day and will play background music of your choice using which will add atmosphere.  We can add fun and games to the meal, have a competition, add singers and have all your guests swinging their napkins high in the air joining in singing along.  You can even dance by your tables, just watch the waiting staff don’t get knocked down.

Note: The volume is always maintained at a sensible level, and if required, I will provide radio microphones for your speeches to ensure everyone can easily hear what is being said.

I will liaise with your venue staff and suppliers agreeing a formal time-line to ensure everything flows effortlessly and you can both relax and enjoy the day. I have a deep understanding of wedding traditions, etiquette and protocol and would readily be on hand to help and advise you. My attention to detail will ensure that your day is in very safe hands.

Your Evening Disco

You officially Married, and what a great day you have had.  It’s now time to get the party started. Your wedding disco entertainment will be the part of your day that everyone remembers. Yes they will remember the ceremony, and the dress, but what happens in the evening if done correctly will put the icing on the cake.

Your dance floor full with friends and family members dancing the night away, and you want them talking about how good your disco was for a long time to come.

At the start I will keep the volume down for your guests to arrive and give you the chance to welcome them.  When everything is set, I announce you onto the dance floor for your first dance as husband and wife with your specially chosen 1st song. This can be followed by other special dances such as father/daughter dance, mother/son dance and wedding party dance. These are the finer details I would discuss with you long before the day.

As well as playing any music you or your guests have requested, I will use my experience to get the party started and encourage your guests to thoroughly enjoy the evening.  This may just be by music selection alone, or it could be with me being more audience interactive.  All these things will be discussed and agreed upon at a client meeting.

Ceilidh Calling

What better way to divide the evening’s entertainment, than by having top quality ceilidh music with my disco service.

This type of function has become increasingly popular at weddings, birthdays and social events for some time now. The main reason is the sheer variety and enjoyment that it brings to your family and friends.

 For some of the more traditional ceilidh bands, the high-tech, high-octane nature of these events might seem to be a far cry from the roots of the Celtic ceilidh. However, entertainment has to cater for one and all; and whether it’s ‘Strip the Willow’ or the latest from Jessie J. I guarantee that your function floor will be filled to the brim with noise, energy and excitement.

 I can supply ceilidh music through the Disco PA system and give everyone full instructions if required. I can even take to the dance floor and have your guests follow me. And, if required, I will call the steps through the music to keep the novices amongst you in step. If you and your guests have never been to a ceilidh before I will have you confident in the dances in no time.
